On the 10th of February 2023, the final of the Spelling Bee contest was held for participants in grades 7 to 9.
Fifteen participants out of the 3,700 who took part in the first qualifying round reached the final. Students from 160 schools in Almaty took a written test to reach the final.
One of the 15 participants was Diyar Kasymov, a student of the 7th B grade of School ” Turan Lyceum”. He successfully completed two rounds of the tournament and showed his ability to spell words even at the most difficult level!
Akhmetova Mahinur Kudatovna, a teacher of English prepared Diyar for this competition.
